Where are you located?

I live in Northridge, CA. (famous for our 1994 earthquake) Northridge is 25 miles Northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Our main office is in Van Nuys, Ca.

Where are you from?

I’m originally from Cleveland Heights, Ohio where everyone knew me as Ian Krieger.

Do you have a family?

Jennifer is my wife of 34 years. We have four children; Leah (and her husband, Charlie), James, Brian and Ross. We have a cat named Madeline. Our first grandchild, Kate, was born February 2006.

How long have you been in the training business?

I’ve been an educator for nearly 40 years. I love to teach. I've made a career of doing just that as a speaker, mentor, Radio/TV talk show host and author. I'm really proud of the two years I spent as an instructor in the Speech-Communications Dept. at my alma mater, Ohio State University.

How did you get into the training business?

My career as a networking and sales mentor really began in 1978 when Jenny and I moved from Ohio to California. It was soon after our arrival that I began helping insurance and real estate people sharpen their selling and networking skills.

My mentoring programs now cater to small business owners, consultants, salespeople and professionals.

Most business people don't have a system for selling themselves or their expertise.

The traditional approach to sales disenchanted me so much that in the late 1980’s I developed an optional way to network and sell known as Krieger Training, which has now been transformed into BusinessSuccessBuilder.com.

As of 2006 there are thousands of individuals, companies and corporations that have used my success tips, tools and systems to boost their marketing, sales and business building efforts.

What are some of the professional organizations and
activities with which you've been inovlved?

I served as the Western Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing Executives International as well as President of the LA/Orange Counties Chapter. I worked with thousands of entrepreneurs as a Mentor-Coach for Income Builders International, and I am a current member of the Association for Professional Consultants, APC.

I served as a Business Makeover Specialist for the Los Angeles Times and contribute regularly to the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. Articles of mine can be found on the internet.

I have been involved in the Southern California Chamber of Commerce community for almost two decades, and recently completed my service as a two term Chairman of the Board of The North Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, the largest chamber in California’s San Fernando Valley.

I've had the pleasure of helping chamber members, as well as members of other organized networking organizations all over Southern California, learn how to maximize their business networking efforts.

I've helped people in virtually every sales arena, "Turn your contacts into contracts more easily and more often" and do it with dignity.
